Our top five protection protocols are as follows:

  1. Know your client - without knowing your client's personality, likes, dislikes, business, family, hobbies, political inclinations, public profile and so on, it really is impossible to conduct a proper threat assessment. Also, you need to know his/her business, the product or service they provide, any possible controversial issues the business may be involved in, and so on
  2. If the client is travelling get the itinerary in advance so that proper advance work can be done
  3. Whenever possible utilise the services of a local contact that can be trusted and who knows the local laws and the area
  4. Communications - always have at your disposal good reliable secure communications sources for all team members, state departments and emergency services, amongst others. Ensure that the home office receives situation reports at least daily
  5. Always have a back-up plan to include alternative transportation, travel routes, spare equipment, accommodation, emergency medical facilities, and a reliable source that can be called upon for help if needed

Our anti-stalking services are increasingly in demand. We are often asked what constitutes stalking: stalking is the act of a person who, on more than one occasion, follows, pursues or harasses another person, and by actively engaging in a pattern of conduct, causes the victim to believe the stalker will cause them physical harm or mental distress.

The statistics speak for themselves: 77% of female victims and 64% of male victims know their stalker. Where the stalker and victim are not known to each other, the average stalking lasts for 1.8 years; where they are well known to each other, this rises to an average of 2.2 years. Whatever, two-thirds of stalkers pursue their victims at least once per week, and weapons are used to harm or threaten victims in one in five cases.

But anyone can be targeted by a stalker; Chase Risk specialises in the threat to public figures and celebrities. Those who live in the public eye are often more likely to be stalked than members of the general public, and although it is often big news when it comes to light, it is still a terrifying ordeal for the victims. We treat every anti-stalking consultation with complete discretion and, after a thorough risk assessment, offer advice on appropriate measures that can be taken to help eliminate the threat and restore the victims' peace of mind, helping them to get their lives back to normal as quickly and in as low-profile a way as possible. Where necessary, we also liaise with the Police and, if required, can work towards obtaining evidence sufficient to build a legal case against the perpetrator.
